Comet “Sochi-Sukhum”

Most of us played pirates as children and dreamed of being there., where these courageous people lived and traded, reckless, sometimes cruel, but incredibly attractive characters. Many have heard about the French pirate bases in Tortuga, British base - Port Royal in Jamaica, the capital of pirates of the Mediterranean - the Algerian port. But, as often happens, we forget and don’t appreciate it, which is very close! But right off our coast lies a country with an ancient and legendary pirate history.! Well, how can you not visit such a place??!

Brief description by timeline

1. "Kometa" makes a flight from the Russian Federation to the Republic of Abkhazia crossing the state border. This trip requires the fulfillment of a number of mandatory requirements and compliance with restrictions both for passengers, and for the carrier.

2. Before boarding the ship, all passengers pass through border control, customs and passport control. Passing the inspection takes about one hour.

3. Carriage of specialized equipment is possible only subject to its mandatory declaration.

4. Transportation of animals is permitted only with a veterinary passport with notes on all necessary vaccinations and other accompanying documents.

5. Sales of flight tickets stop one day before, since passenger data is transferred to government agencies for verification.

6. The Comet departs from the Cruise Harbor (house 4/5) Marine Station of Sochi.

7. There is free seating on board the ship. Number of seats - 120, which corresponds to the number of tickets sold.

8. We recommend purchasing tickets for the Comet on the route Sochi–Sukhum–Sochi in advance, at least a few days before the desired date, since sales stop after 24 hours before departure.

9. When purchasing a round-trip ticket for a one-day trip, please consider, that the free time to stay in Abkhazia will be approximately 4 o'clock.

10. Travel schedule on the Comet along the route Sochi–Sukhum–Sochi:

  • 08:00–08:30 — departure from Sochi.

  • 10:30–11:00 – arrival in the capital of Abkhazia, the city of Sukhum.

  • 15:00 — checking documents for passengers, flying from Sukhum to Sochi.

  • 15:30 — beginning of boarding of passengers for the return flight.

  • 16:00–16:15 - end of landing.

  • 16:30–16:45 — departure from Sukhumi.

  • 19:00–19:15 — arrival in Sochi, disembarkation of passengers.
